In Honor of Gino Bartali

On April 24, 2017 Israel held Yom Hashoah- the annual memorial day of the holocaust.
Israel Cycling Academy pro riders Dan Craven (Namibia) and Aviv Yechezkel (Israel), decided to take a break from their daily training routine in order to pay a special tribute to the legendary Giro d'Italia champion and holocaust hero, Gino Bartali.
The two opted to cover the 195km long route, between the towns of Florence in Tuscany to Assisi in Umbria.
The chosen course, covered the mythical training route Bartali himself used to ride on, over 70 years ago.
It was a magical journey, in which the two tried to realize what actually went through Bartali's mind on that epic path.
